It’s pretty obvious: our friends from World League start the new year with a big bang! As a key figure, Techno’s Lord of the Force Chris Liebing will be back at Blitz. His long lasting DJ career started around 1994 with the opening of his Spinclub. Everything since then, may surely be called history. Be it Eye Q Records, Frankfurt’s Omen club, diverse residencies on the white island or his very own imprint CLR, these are just a few landmarks when it comes to his background. Just recently Chris releases his latest long player Burn Slow on the legendary Mute records. Also on the bill is the Swiss duo Adriatique with their debut at Blitz. Over the past years, this Adrian twin pack left footprints with their releases on Solomun’s Diynamic and is currently delivering one deep killer after the other on their own imprint Siamese as well as on Tale of Us’s Afterlife. For them, music is meditation, a confession that can be heard throughout their output. World League’s very own René Vaitl and our resident Sascha Sibler will heat up our little sweatbox, that is our PLUS floor. 

Es ist offensichtlich: World League startet direkt mit einem Big Bang ins neue Jahr! Techno Lord Of The Force Chris Liebing spielt dabei eine der Schlüsselrollen. Begonnen hat Chris’ DJ-Voyage in elektronisch fokussierten Arealen 1994 mit der Eröffnung seines Spinclubs. Was seither im künstlerischen Leben des Giesseners geschah, darf ohne den Anflug von Hochgestochenheit als History bezeichnet werden. Die Eye Q Records und das Omen in Frankfurt, diverse Residencies auf Ibiza und natürlich das eigene Label CLR, bilden dabei maßgebliche Mementi. Zuletzt leistete Chris Liebing mit seinem Langspieler Burn Slow, auf dem ihm wohl vertrauten Mute Records ganze Arbeit und präsentiert einen von vorne bis hinten stimmigen Kunstnachlass. Mit den Schweizern Adriatique heißt World League zwei Blitz-Debütanten Willkommen. Das Adrian-Doppelpack hinterließ die vergangenen Jahre auf Solomun’s Diynamic langfristige Fußabdrücke, bringt seit 2016 über das eigens ins Leben gerufene Label Siamese und dem überaus populären Afterlife-Imprint von Tale Of Us seine bezeichnende Deepness zu Tage. Musik ist Meditation, so lautet die Konfession des Zweiergespanns und genau dieser hoch brisante Techno-Duktus ist in ihren Produktion und DJ Sets unverkennbar. Auf dem PLUS Floor geben in dieser Nacht World League Matador René Vaitl und unser Resident Sascha Sibler den Ton.
