Special circumstances deserve special guests, as we think. With Peggy Gou, we welcome one of the most sensational super sharp shooters of recent years on our island. It feels a bit like yesterday, when the Korean girl released her debut double EP Art Of War on Radio Slaves Rekids imprint and started to make waves as producer. This release was and still is super fresh, paving a way for her future career in the shortest amount of time. We guess this is a development that is pretty unique. In the meantime, the name Peggy Gou shines bright everywhere, from the smallest underground club flyer to the biggest festival poster. This year, Peggy released Once on Ninja Tune and Travelling Without Arriving on Phonica White. The music not only represents her skills as a producer, but also her musical esprit behind the decks as well as her roots: funky and soulful good vibes House with powerful jackness in between Detroit, New York and London. As if this wouldn’t be enough, the night will start with a massive 6 hour b2b in between Blitz-Panorama Bar regular Muallem and Hamam Nights instigator Sedef Adasi.

Unser Samstag-Gathering lassen wir uns nämlich nicht nehmen und öffnen unsere Pforten bereits um 18 Uhr. Besondere Umstände erfordern besondere Gäste, finden wir. Mit Peggy Gou manövrieren wir deshalb die wohl Aufsehen erregendste Senkrechtstarterin der letzten zwei Jahre auf die Museumsinsel. Dabei kommt es uns vor wie ein Wimpernschlag, als die gebürtige Koreanerin 2016 mit ihrer Debüt-Doppel-EP Art Of War auf Radio Slave’s Rekids-Imprint erstmals die Produzenten-Bühne betrat und glattwegs Interesse für sich weckte. Peggys Zweiteiler kam nämlich dermaßen frisch um die Ecke, dass er ihr innerhalb kürzester Zeit Pfade für eine Karriere im elektronischen Zirkel öffnete, die so gut wie keine Vergleiche bietet. Mittlerweile ziert der Name der Wahl-Berlinern die obersten Reihen diverser hochkarätiger Festival und Club Aufgebote in allen Ecken der Welt. Mit Once auf Ninja Tune und Travelling Without Arriving auf Phonica White schoss Peggy in diesem Jahr zwei Releases in die Umlaufbahn, die neben ihren Studio-Skills auch bestens ihren musikalischen Esprit an den Decks sowie ihre Roots repräsentiert: funkig-souliger Good-Vibes-House mit prägnantem Jack-Faktor zwischen Detroit, New York und London. Stichhaltig umrahmt wird diese Nacht von einem Back-2-Back des Blitz-Panorama-Bar-Stammspielers Muallem und der Hamam-Nights-Initiatorin Sedef Adasi.
