“Outside of being one of Mingus most known works, this original pressing from my collection is one of the best recorded pieces of music I have ever heard. The sound dynamic heard in this record really emphizes how the recording process in the late 50s was so much more exception then today and the loudness war that consume most of the recording process today in comparison to loudness wars that consumes the modern recording process and ideology. Louder is not better kids. It’s about dynamic and this record is a Paramount example of this idea.”
