The light and sound installation “white circle” has been created in 2016 for the 20th anniversary of the electronic music label Raster-Noton. It consists of a walkable ring of fluorescent tubes, which react individually to musical impulses and illuminate the room. Five specially created compositions by alva noto, Byetone, Frank Bretschneider and Kangding Ray will be looped for about 45 minutes, defining the relationship between sound, light and architecture in different ways. „white circle“ ist eine Licht- und Sound-Installation, die 2016 zum zwanzigjährigen Jubiläum des Labels für elektronische Musik Raster-Noton entstanden ist. Sie besteht aus einem begehbaren Ring aus Leuchtstoffröhren, die einzeln auf musikalische Impulse reagieren und den Raum illuminieren. Fünf eigens entstandene Kompositionen von alva noto, Byetone, Frank Bretschneider und Kangding Ray laufen über ca. 45 Minuten im Loop und definieren auf unterschiedliche Weise das Verhältnis von Sound, Licht und Architektur.
