Âme, Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer, have spent around two decades shaping a spectral and slow-burning, softer perspective on German dance music with their label Innervisions alongside Dixon. The duo split live performances and DJ duties equally, and this time, Frank Wiedemann takes to our booth with a live set.
Completing the programme: Der Brane, a fixture of Munich’s dancefloor history, returns for a rare gig on his own dancefloor. One of Blitz’ founding fathers, he has spent years shaping Munich’s nightlife with ambitious club projects from Die Registratur to Kong and Bar Charlie and a penchant & curiosity for the genre-defying, well displayed in projects like the past Munich Organic Dance Festival or around Ritournelle Festival. But at the core he’s a music lover with an extensive record collection and we’re delighted to have him back on the decks.
And last but not least: Marie Montexier returns! A cherished Blitz regular, working somewhere between breakbeat, techno, and house but strictly vinyl! „Setting no genre boundaries” is her own motto, well displayed in her eclectic sets and it extends to her label Paryìa, too, which has made space for emerging producers with a penchant for explorative approaches, while remaining rooted in the floor: „Alongside breakbeat and house you’ll also find ambient, experimental sound or techno, and sometimes downtempo too.”
