CHAPTER 1 CLOSED!
A retrospective compilation

6 x 12" STRICTLY LIMITED WOODEN COLLECTORS BOX
FIRST COME – FIRST SERVED!

Pre-Order!

When BLITZ opened its doors almost a decade ago, there was already an idea to start a label alongside the club. It never quite took shape, but it never disappeared either. Now, with the first chapter of BLITZ closed, the time finally feels right.

CHAPTER 1 CLOSED! marks the first release on BLITZ discs and looks back at the musical world that formed around the club over the past decade. For the compilation, we invited residents, regulars and close friends of the house to contribute music written specifically for this project. The result is 25 exclusive tracks spanning House, Techno & Disco – not an attempt to define a single BLITZ sound, but a reflection of how we perceive it ourselves.

The release arrives at a particular moment. After closing the club this summer, the past two months were spent dismantling the space we had built: the sound system, the acoustic architecture, the interiors – eventually, BLITZ itself. What remains are memories.

With CHAPTER 1 CLOSED!, we wanted to leave something physical behind. Something that documents, in its own abstract way, what happened within those walls and the music and people that shaped them.

The compilation comes as 6 x 12" records housed in a strictly limited wooden collector’s box, with each copy individually hand-numbered. First come – first served…no repress! The box itself pays homage to the club’s sound system: made from the same wood, its cut-out BLITZ logo reveals the green vinyl inside, echoing the distinctive green speakers that defined the room. Despite its archival character as collectors item, these are records made to be played: pressed DJ-friendly – with artists and club sound systems in mind.

We are deeply grateful to every artist who contributed music to this project and helped us close this first chapter in style.
