We gather to celebrate a local institution: 17 years of the Munich-based Ilian Tape imprint stand for 17 years of progressive electronic dance music with a penchant for UK-Techno’s weighty yet agile, break-laden rhythms. The cult label, helmed by our residents the Zenker Brothers, has invited friends and collaborators for a journey into the smart and sensual abyss of contemporary dance music across two dance floors. See you in the stratosphere and indulge in all that B A S S! 

Founded in 2007 by the Zenker Brothers, Ilian Tape has evolved from a local endeavor into an internationally acclaimed label, revered for its distinctive blend of deep, rhythmic techno and experimental sounds. Over time, more facets and musical branches have blossomed from its core. From functional, British-oriented, dazzling dance floor fillers to floating Drum & Bass excursions, smoky half-time hitters, and pensive ambient reveries, the label has reimagined the craft of Techno albums in recent times. They’ve even successfully ventured into jazz-inspired records. Clearly, the Ilian Tape cosmos brims with creativity and musical inspiration. 

Their 17-year celebration brings together many of the label’s contributors and comrades for a blistering party on our BLITZ and PLUS floors. Expect long-awaited live sets from the Zenker Brothers themselves and a rare DJ appearance by the globally lauded prodigy Skee Mask. The great Ostgut-Ton affiliate Shed, who also shares a love for UK bass styles, will be there too. Deetron, performing under his Soulmate alias, will deliver tribal- and house-tinged dance floor treats. 

The PLUS floor will explore the experimental and deep, bass-driven depths of the imprint’s dazzling cosmos. Look forward to a live set from the deconstructed club and bass-loving experimentalists Atrice, as well as Katatonic Silentio and post-Drum & Bass connoisseur Mantra. Also, enjoy a back-to-back set from the break-councillors Stenny and re:ni. 

There’s more: Kalas Liebfried has prepared an audio-visual installation in our foyer accompanying the > Fragments of Sonic Extinction < event at Zirka, starting at 19:00 on 15/06. Wir feiern eine lokale Institution: 17 Jahre des Münchner Labels Ilian Tape stehen für 17 Jahre avancierter elektronischer Tanzmusik mit einer Vorliebe für die wuchtigen, aber agilen, breakgeladenen Rhythmen des UK-Techno. Das Kultlabel, geleitet von unseren Resident-DJs, den Zenker Brothers, hat Freunde und Kollaborateure eingeladen, um eine Reise in den smarten & sinnlichen Abgrund zeitgenössischer Tanzmusik auf zwei Floors zu übernehmen.   

Gegründet im Jahr 2007 von den Zenker Brothers, hat sich Ilian Tape von einem lokalen Label zu einem international anerkannten Imprint entwickelt, das für seinen unverwechselbaren Mix aus basslastigen, rhythmischem Techno und experimentellen Klängen verehrt wird. Im Laufe der Zeit haben sich immer mehr Facetten und musikalische Zweige entwickelt. Von funktionalen, britisch orientierten, funkelnden Tanzflächenfüllern bis hin zu luftigen Drum & Bass-Exkursionen, wuchtigen Half-Time-Gooves und introspektiven Ambient-Tagträumen hat das Label selbst das Konzept des > Techno Albums < rehabilitiert. 

Ihre 17 Jahre Party bringt Freundinnen, Künstlerinnen und Kollaborateure für eine ausladende Party auf zwei Dancefloors zusammen. 

Erwartet das lang ersehnte Live-Set der Zenker Brothers selbst und einen seltenen DJ-Auftritt des international gefeierten Wunderkindes Skee Mask. Der altgediente Ostgut-Ton-Alumni Shed, der ebenfalls eine Liebe für UK-Bass-Stile teilt, wird dabei sein. Deetron, der unter seinem Soulmate-Alias auftritt, wird Tribal- und House-inspirierte Schmankerl verteilen. 

Der PLUS-Boden wird den experimentellen und deepen Kosmos des Labels erforschen. Freut euch auf ein Live-Set der Deconstructed Club- und Bass-liebenden Experimentalisten Atrice, sowie Katatonic Silentio und Post-Drum & Bass-Connaisseur Mantra. Außerdem wird es ein Back-to-Back-Set der Break-Autoritäten Stenny und re:ni geben. 

Und das war noch nicht alles! Kalas Liebfried hat eine audiovisuelle Installation in unserem Foyer vorbereitet, die das Event > Fragments of Sonic Extinction < im Zirka begleitet, das am 15.06. um 19:00 beginnt. Besitzer von Blitz-Vorverkaufstickets zahlen an der Tür von Zirka den halben Preis, während jeder mit einem Ticket für > Fragments of Sonic Extinction < an der Blitz-Tür 10 € zahlt.
