Over the years, way before we started BLITZ, Kim Ann Foxman continuously payed us a visit and became a regular guest. We are happy to welcome her for a second time at our new temple and can’t wait to hear her play on our BLITZ floor. The memories of her last set on our PLUS floor during winter still creates goosebumps. After mainly standing out as a vocalist, Kim first caught our attention as producer when she released Creature in 2015 on her own imprint Firehouse, a track that came along an accompanying video and totally blew our minds with its queer aesthetics and the perfect soundtrack. Since then she has released a number of tracks that never lack quality As DJ, she delivers melodic and catchy sets, which never cross into cheesy territory and are full of depth at the same time. New York House Music as New York House can be, but always with a clear vision of the future. In addition to our residents DJ Donna and Roland Appel, we cant think of a better line up, that will make our bass thump.
In all den Jahren hat sich Kim Ann Foxman zu einem gern gesehen Gast von uns entwickelt und dies auch schon weit bevor wir die Tore zu unserem geliebten Blitz geöffnet haben. Wir sind froh sie nun auch schon zum zweiten Mal bei uns begrüßen zu können und freuen uns auf ihr Set auf unserem BLITZ Floor. Sie schafft es einfach immer wieder, denn wenn wir nur an ihr letztes Set im Winter auf unserem PLUS Floor denken, bekommen wir gleich wieder Gänsehaut. Nachdem Kim zu Anfang ihrer Karriere eher als Sängerin im Rampenlicht stand, erlangte sie als Produzentin erstmals durch ihre 2015 auf ihrem eigenen Label Firehouse erschienene Single Creature unsere Aufmerksamkeit. Was für eine zeitlose Bombe, die begleitend durch ein Video das mit queerer Ästhetik und dem perfekten Soundtrack auf voller Linie punktet. Seitdem hat das Niveau bei ihren Veröffentlichungen nie nachgelassen. Als DJ sorgt sie immer wieder für puren New York House vibe, verfängt sich dabei aber niemals im Vergangenen sonder hat dabei viel mehr einen klaren Blick auf die Zukunft. Mit unseren Residents DJ Donna und Roland Appel ist das Line Up komplett.
