Helena Hauff clearly is at the very top of things our electronic circus currently has to offer, especially when it comes to digging and performing. Despite all ambivalences, the Hamburg native still uncompromisingly plays vinyl only, no matter if Djing on a 2000 people stage or in dark and sweaty clubs. In her sets she mixes tracks into a comprehensive whole, which is full of expressiveness and demanding at the same time, thereby leaving no space for doubt at all. While Helena’s selections usually combine punchy and dark Techno with prototype Electro, one thing is for sure: she always plays tight as hell. Last August her highly acclaimed album Qualms hit the stores via Ninja Tune. Lee Gamble also definitely is one of the current protagonists of the electronic realms. The musical profile of the London native shines bright due to his fondness for experimenting combined with a damn good taste. Alien sounds meet fragmented Techno, while happy high speed drums meet powerfully bass lines. All of this, we thought, is the perfect base for our resident Skee Mask. Everything goes tonight, not only musically. Fasten seat belts, till infinity and beyond!

Helena Hauff zählt zu den begnadetsten Diggern und Performern, die unser elektronischer Schauplatz dieser Tage zu bieten haben. Dabei legt die Hamburgerin aller Ambivalenzen zu trotz, egal ob auf Zweitausend-Frau-und-Mann-Stages oder kleinen, verruchten Dancefloors, konsequent mit Vinyl auf. Wie von Geisterhand verschmelzen dabei ihre fordernden und von Ausdruckskraft strotzenden Sets zu einem hochexplosiven Gemisch, das keinen Spielraum für Zweifel lässt. Helenas Selektionen zwischen punchig-dunklem Techno und Prototyp-konformen Electro sind glattwegs tight. Im August erreichte mit großen und vollends zufrieden gestellten Erwartungen, ihr aktuelles Album Qualms via Ninja Tune sämtliche Plattformen und Plattenläden. Lee Gamble ist kein weniger betuchter Protagonist elektronisch-fokussierter Interessenfelder. Die musikalische Präsenz des Londoner glänzt durch spektakuläre Experimentierfreude und einen verdammt guten Geschmack. Alien-Noise trifft auf zerstückelten Techno, auf fröhlich-springende Highspeed-Drums und wuchtige Bässe mit Herz-Rhythmus-Massagen-Couleur. Wie der Deckel auf den Topf, passen hierzu bestens die musikalischen Visionen und Vorlieben unseres Residents Skee Mask. Ihr merkt: in dieser Nacht ist alles möglich. Anschnallen, loslegen.
