For over a decade, Jennifer Cardini is one of the building blocks of the electronic music landscape. Her journey started with two residencies at institutions of the Paris’ nightlife: one at lesbian hotspot Pulp and later on at the legendary Rex Club. Jennifer continuously played herself into the hearts and minds of ravers  way beyond the city’s borders through an eclectic and mind blowing mix of Disco, Techno and House, all of it with a very personal note. In 2011 Jennifer moved to Cologne where her intense relationship with label heavyweight Kompakt flourished. The very same year her own label Correspondant saw the light of day. Just recently, meanwhile residing in Berlin, Jennifer made waves again with her imprint, releasing must haves by Black Merlin, Moscoman, Red Axes and many others via the 6th instalment of her label compilation series. With Neutron Dance, released on Gerd Jansons Running Back, Krystal Klear clearly may be held responsible for the hymn of last summer, if not of the entire year. In order to get a better picture of Dec Lennon’s entire work though, you got to take a closer look at the past decade. The kick off took place in 2010 with the release of his Single Tried For Your Love, followed by releases on Floating Point’s EGLO and Cooly G’s Dub Organiser. In 2013 Dec started working on his own imprint Cold Tonic. His latest bomb takes the form of Euphoric Dreams – also released on Running Back – and is a manifestation of his dance floor vision. On board as well is our resident and Hamam Nights habibi Sedef Adasi. 

Jennifer Cardini bildet seit mehr als einer Dekade eine der Säulen unserer Szene-Landschaft. Ihren Lauf nahm die Geschichte der gebürtigen Nizzaerin mit ihrer Residency in zwei Institutionen des verruchten Pariser Nachtlebens: zunächst im lesbischen Knotenpunkt Pulp, später im geschichtsträchtigen Rex Club. Jennifer erspielte sich mit ihren eklektischen Sets zwischen diverser Variationen von durchdacht-funktionalem House und Techno, Stück für Stück eine Monopol-Stellung, die sie fortan über die Stadtgrenzen der französischen Metropole hinaus, in internationale Interessensfelder bugsierte. 2011 verschlug es Jennifer dann nach Köln, wo sie mit dem dortigen Label-Schwergewicht Kompakt innig verschmolz. Im selben Jahr erblickte auch ihr musikalisches Sprachrohr, Correspondant, das Licht der Welt. Zuletzt machte die mittlerweile in Berlin lebende Wegweiserin im September 2018 mit ihrem Imprint Nägel mit Köpfen. Via der Compilation 06 servierte sie uns Must-haves von Black Merlin, Moscoman oder auch Red Axes auf dem Silbertablett. Krystal Klear sorgte mit seinen tanzenden Neutronen auf Gerd Janson’s Running Back zugleich für eine der Hymnen, als auch den Ohrwurm des vergangenen Sommers. Für einen Gesamteindruck zum musikalischen Portfolio von Dec Lennon, darf man allerdings beinahe ein Jahrzehnt zurückblicken. Der Anstoß für den Iren fiel mit seiner 2010 veröffentlichten Single Tried For Your Love, gefolgt von Releases auf Floating Points EGLO und Cooly Gs Dub Organiser. 2013 fuhr Dec dann mit seiner Eigenmarke Cold Tonic an die Startlinie. Euphoric Dreams nennt sich der neueste Doppel-Streich von Krystal Klear – auch auf Running Back – und symbolisiert auf den Punkt seine Dancefloor-Vision. Die Runde komplettieren wird unser Durchstarter-Resident und Hamam Nights Mastermind Sedef Adasi.
