Fridays at Blitz are reserved for lighter and funkier sounds and the first Friday in September is no different. What unites our three guests is their decidedly lively and enthusiastic take on music: Euphoria, not dystopia is the motto tonight!
Our resident Sedef Adasi has been making big waves in the international dance music scene with her ardent and genre-hopping style that’s rich on melodies and a refreshing and colourful burst in an all too often monochrome scene. Sedef nonchalantly jumps from warping Electro to rave-inspired Acid-House to Latin Techno and many more styles in the space of few moments, with a steady and experienced hand on the pulse of the party.
KinK’s last performances at Blitz have proven why he’s considered one of the very best live performers around. His passionate approach fuses DJing, the manipulation of sounds and samples, as well as classic live performance, Strahil Velchev adds an irresistible intensity to House music that convinces dancemusic’s naysayers. KiNK will open a new world to the skeptics, so bring your cynical friends along for a fresh experience.
Carefree melodies, beat-focussed 90’s Progressive House and jubilant Trance: welcome to the world of Byron Yeates, the head of the Radiant Love imprint and event series known for its focus on glistening and hypnotic club sounds that draw from the 90s. Establishing a queer narrative of sounds is central to his sets and displays well in the moods of his sets. Byron Yeats sets brim with the sort of captivating, welcoming energy we’d love to see more of in the world.
