It’s an old saying that Italians have been graced with immaculate taste, but let’s not draw on or tighten national stereotypes – our three guests tonight may all be Italian and each one of them is a well respected, at times even unjustly underrated selector of the underground, but their love and knowledge of music is globally informed and knows no national boundaries (we expect the same sort of open mindedness among our guests too!). What unites Francesco Del Garda, Francesco Farfa and Paquita Gordon is their stylish sense of sonic understatement and psychedelica that revolves around the core intersections of House, Techno and Minimal and is decidedly leftfield: the most beautiful discoveries await aside the beaten path and the three artists have mezmerized this all too well. > It’s not only about the record itself, but the way you play it. < may be a well-worn cliché, but our trio formidable will prove its importance and will show you how it’s done today. We ask for extra attention for our resident Paquita Gordon. There’s no stylistic leap her skills aren’t ready to handle when the charismatic artist spices up the mix with her vast musical knowledge. Die Italiener*innen sind seit jeher für ihren maßgebenden Geschmack bekannt, zwar wollen wir uns nicht nationaler Stereotypen bedienen oder diese bestärken – unsere drei Künstler*innen heute Abend mögen zwar alle italienisch sein und haben ihren Sinn für Ästhetik mit ihren – bisweilen unterschätzten – Underground-Kurationen unter Beweis gestellt, jedoch ist ihre musikalische Leidenschaft und Kenntnis global informiert und kennt keine nationalen Grenzen (Dasselbe Maß an Aufgeschlossenheit erwarten wir auch von unseren Gästen!). Francesco Del Garda, Francesco Farfa und Paquita Gordon vereint ein stilsicherer Sinn für akustische Understatements und Psychedelica, die sich im Kern um den Schnittbereich zwischen House, Techno und Minimal drehen. Ihre Musik positioniert sich bestimmt abseits eingetretener Pfade: >Es geht nicht nur um die Platte an sich, sondern die Art, wie du sie spielst.< mag zwar ein abgewetztes Klischee sein, unser Trio Formidable verkörpert diesen Ansatz jedoch wie nur wenige andere. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit verdient auch unser Stammgast Paquita Gordon – mit Stilsicherheit und einem breiten Repertoire an musikalischem Wissen sorgt die charismatische Künstler*in für Stimmung auf dem Floor.
