Call Super has long occupied his own space within electronic music, where genres become mere footnotes in larger narratives. His latest release, A Rhythm Protects One, pays tribute to the physical mix CD. As a revival? As a homage? Or something else entirely, maybe?

Releases on imprints such as Incienso, Houndstooth, Hessle Audio, fabric, Dekmantel and his own label can you feel the sun(co-run with Parris) help map an artist whose language is as layered as it is personal.

>When we play together — whether it’s a mix or live at a party — there’s never really an idea. Just a vibe. Nothing is planned. Ever. < The words of Analog Soul, identical twins Jacquelyn and Kathryn Smith, capture a shared instinct with Call Super: freedom through intuition. After growing up in California, they moved to New York in the early 2000s, working in record stores before launching a show on East Village Radio — where a friend’s suggestion gave them their name. These days, they navigate NYC’s underground between The Bunker, Nowadays and The Lot Radio with feeling at the centre.

New York also shaped Chloé Caillet. With roots in classical music (training) and jazz, alongside a wide range of rock music, she first played in bands across Paris and London before settling into her own groove of radiant House. Today she contintues to shape her sound & vision with own productions as well as her imprint & platform SMILE, all around the world.
