Born in Japan & based in Amsterdam, Wata Igarashi returns to Blitz. His records, released on labels like on Midgar, The Bunker NY, Semantica and Dekmantel demonstrate a crystalline, slow-burn type psychedelia. He’s joined by our resident Polygonia, who founded her own label Qeone in 2022 as a home for deep, textural electronic music that resists easy categorisation. It can be read as an extension of her own practice, with intricate rhythms, complex sound design and a wide emotional range. The two selectors have collaborated on an EP called Cross Passage, released on Reclaim Your City in 2025.
With affiliations from the likes of Giegling to Ostgut Ton, Delsin and STOOR, .VRIL complements the night with a live set alongside producer & DJ Skee Mask, who, although keeping a low profile, emerged as not just one of Ilian Tape’s & Munich’s, but perhaps among the most distinct voices in electronic music in recent times, with releases like 2018’s landmark album Compro, followed by Pool and Resort in 2021 & 2024.
