We believe that LOVE IS THE MESSAGE and that love is never just a personal topic, but also a political one. The same goes for music. It is always important to remind ourselves of the ever-important sociopolitical, inclusive history of the dance scene, especially house music. And that music was never just about sound, but also an important, inclusive safe space for those to be considered as outcasts in society. Munich’s own Bashkka, our new resident, is a standout of the Queer artist collective Lovers and carves out much-needed safe spaces in society and dance music for FLINTA* and BIPOC individuals. She dishes out muscular, yet smooth house beats and is just a hell of a DJ who truly lives up to her “Dancefloor Domina” battle cry. We are convinced our family member Benjamin Röder is the perfect match on the bill. He isn’t just a skilled selector behind the mixer but also responsible for Bar Charlie, one of our favourite clubs in Munich specializing in cheerful disco-house extravaganza and always a guaranteed safe space for delightful dance-pleasures.

Love Is The Message ist unser Motto. Denn Liebe ist nie nur eine rein persönliche Angelegenheit, sondern immer auch politisch. Und so ist es auch mit Musik: Es gibt keine unpolitische Musik. Unser neuer Resident Bashkka haben dieses Motto, aber auch die Geschichte der elektronischen Tanzmusik, allen voran von House, mit ihrer sozialen und politischen Bedeutung bestens verinnerlicht. Sie ist eine erfahrene und respektierte DJ, aber ihre Leidenschaft für Musik geht noch weit über das DJ-Pult hinaus. Bashkka gehört zu den herausragenden Akteuren des queeren Münchner Künstlerkollektivs Lovers und setzt sich dort für bitter nötige Safe Spaces für FLINTA* und BIPOC Persönlichkeiten im Nachtleben und der Gesellschaft ein. Ihr Sound steht für kräftige, aber nichtsdestotrotz smoothe House-Beats, die sich mit ihrem „Dancefloor Domina“ Schlachtruf aufnehmen können. Aus dem Umfeld der Blitz-Familie freuen wir uns auch auf den Auftritt von Benjamin Röder. Er ist nicht nur ein ausgezeichneter DJ, der wie die Faust aufs Auge zu unseren weiteren Gästen passt, sondern auch Betreiber der Bar Charlie, einem unserer Münchner Lieblingsclubs und Garant für euphorische Disco- und House-Sounds.
