DJ Holographic carries Detroit’s – the motor city – musical legacy flag with pride and paints a lively picture of house music with strong, colourful bursts of R&B, funk, soul, disco & garage. The connection between these genres may seem obvious at first, but there are very few DJs that know how to pull it off in style. Ariel Corley knows the secret to blend all these influences into a cohesive aural flow: It’s all centred around the organic, rather than mechanic, funk and swing that unites people on the dancefloor. Psychedelic & cosmic explorations on the border of house and techno are DJ Tennis’ forte. The Italian selector’s singular attitude when it comes to DJing stems from a vast amount of know-how in the music scene and industry that stretch far beyond dance music. His background in indie rock, shoegaze & post-rock can be traced in his personal mixes, as well as his affinity for 90’s electronica and IDM. His sets strike a beautiful balance between abundant atmospherics and infectious rhythms that will leave a strong impression on our body and soul. Our resident vince is the perfect match to our international guests: he knows all the tricks to keep our feet busy, and his versatile approach proves to be just the missing puzzle piece to make this night a blast.

DJ Holographic aus Detroit gehört zu Recht zu den derzeit spannendsten DJs: Lebhafte und euphorische House-Vibes stehen im Zentrum ihres facettenreichen Styles, die sie mit R&B, Hip-Hop und Soul, aber auch Garage & Disco spickt. Uns beeindruckt, mit welcher Leichtigkeit und Finesse sie all diese unterschiedlichen Stile miteinander verflechtet. Sie weiß halt, worauf es dabei ankommt: lebendige Grooves mit dem gewissen Funk und Swing! Auf eine psychedelische Reise in unentdeckte Sphären zwischen House & Techno nimmt uns DJ Tennis mit. Nach über 20 Jahren an verschiedenen Positionen in der – nicht nur elektronischen! – Musikszene hat das italienische Multitalent eine ganz eigene Klangsprache entwickelt, die seine vielschichtigen Einflüsse gefühlvoll unterstreicht. In den sphärischen, gleichwohl behutsam treibenden Sets hören wir die viel beschriebenen Einflüsse von Shoegaze und Post-Rock, aber auch 90’s Electronica & IDM. Nichtsdestotrotz ist Manfredi Romano im Herzen ein Raver und kein Klangalchemist, denn auch bei ihm steht der Groove, die Grundlage der alles und alle vereinenden Party im Zentrum. Über seine Labelarbeit mit Life and Death brauchen wir nicht viel mehr zu sagen als: Thank you for the music, Manfredi! Unser Resident vince, ein wahrer Allrounder mit feinem Gespür für das stimmige Mischverhältnis von House & Techno, Rhythmus & Atmosphäre und dem Flow auf dem Dancefloor wird diesem Abend die Krone aufsetzen.
