Maceo Plex is for sure one of the electronic dance music scene’s most prolific (tech-)house DJs and is capable of captivating festival crowds & underground clubs alike. There are few superstar DJs that are capable of seamlessly mixing cavernous, larger-than-life beats with deeper, IDM-orientated atmospheric tracks (that remind us of his roots as a producer) and simply rough & dry banging-techno stompers. And let’s not forget the syncopated funk of electro, that he’s produced under his Mariel Ito. moniker in the mid-aughts. To put things short: don’t be fooled into believing that you think you know “the” Maceo Plex “show”. Eric Estornel has been producing music under a multitude of aliases and has more than a few tricks, unexpected tunes and twists up his sleeve to astonish even the most puristic nerds among you.
There are no blank spaces in our resident Sascha Sibler’s knowledge about all the sounds that fit between house and techno and there’s not a situation, a setting, he couldn’t adapt to without subtly adding his own mark to the mix. That’s what we call DJing!
Snu is a young DJ from Munich, based in Groningen and already a well experienced selector when it comes to house at the borders of progressive and electro influences. We’re delighted to have him play his Blitz-debut tonight!

Maceo Plex ist mit Sicherheit einer der profiliertesten (Tech-)House-DJs der Szene und in der Lage, Festivalcrowds und Underground-Clubs gleichermaßen in seinen Bann zu ziehen. Es gibt nur wenige Superstar-DJs, die fähig sind nahtlos überlebensgroße Beats mit deepen, IDM-lastigen, sphärischen Tracks und staubtrockenen wie hocheffektiven Techno-Tools zu verknüpfen. Oder den synkopische Funk des Electro, den er bereits Mitte der 2000er Jahre unter dem Namen Mariel Ito. produziert hat! Halten wir uns kurz: lasst euch nicht vom Glauben täuschen, “die” Maceo Plex “Show” zu kennen. Eric Estornel hat unter einer Vielzahl von Pseudonymen Musik produziert und hat mehr als nur ein paar Tricks, unerwartete Moves und Wendungen in petto, um selbst die puristischsten Nerds unter euch zu verblüffen.
Unser Resident Sascha Sibler kennt sich mit all den Sounds, die zwischen House und Techno passen bestens aus und es gibt keine Situation, kein Setting, dem er sich nicht anpassen könnte, ohne dem Mix seinen eigenen Stempel aufzudrücken – so geht DJing eben.
Und mit Snu haben wir einen jungen DJ aus München, der inzwischen Groningen lebt aber bereits ein außerordentlich erfahrener Selektor ist, wenn es um House an der Grenze zwischen progressiven und Electro-Einflüssen geht. Wir freuen uns sehr auf sein Blitz Debüt heut Abend!
