Ben Klock – a name, nearly even a brand, that’s become synonymous with Berlin as an international hub for electronic dance music. Low-swung and smooth, yet concrete techno with minimalistic and sparse arrangements and sounds and, especially by today’s standards, considerably more relaxed tempos with plenty of space and room for mellower emotions: Ben Block has played a pivotal part in shaping the Berlin sound.
The sound of the capital has moved on and so has Ben Klock. He has shown there’s no need for him to follow trends whether it’s higher tempos or shriller sounds, to stay relevant or vital, nor is he a slave to the formula that propelled him to fame. Freed of expectations, trends or the zeitgeist, Ben Klock is (and always was) focussed on the floor and on the very moment and will lure us into the magic of what makes his style and approach that has defined an era, so exciting, with impeccable mixing and his fingers at the pulse of the dance floor vibe.

Ben Klock. Ein Name, der beinahe schon eine Marke und Synonym für Berlin als internationales Zentrum für Clubkultur und elektronische Tanzmusik geworden ist, im besten Sinne. Deeper, smoother und doch konkreter Techno, mit sparsamen Arrangements und Sounds als auch Tempi, die für heute Verhältnisse als vergleichsweise langsam gelten, aber auch Raum für kontemplative Stimmungsbilder lassen: Ben Block hat den Berlin-Sound entscheidend mitgeprägt.
