While spring is in full bloom and summer approaching her dawn, tonight’s programme awaits with sun kissed grooves of different sorts from the laid-back grooves of Gene on Earth, the vintage- rave connoisseur Isabella and David Hornungs & Lavandonia’s understated funk, ready to take you on holiday.
Gene on Earth’s sets are a masterful blend of deep and dubby house music, coloured by joyous funk for smooth and casual dancing and guarantee to leave you with that radiant flare we love from summer season. It’s no surprise that summer season is what Isabella from Barcelona carries in her music too, although she deploys a different approach than Gene from Earth, focussing on a sweltering old-school curating of techno, electro, acid and house for lascivious and tepid, after-hours bliss grounded on a synthetic funk, contrary to Gene on Earth’s rather organic perspective. More luminous glow comes from David Hornung’s and Lavandonia’s back to back, a duo with a love for jaunty and pastel coloured tunes and tracks that parenthesizes Gene On Earths & Isabella’s styles in a formidable manner tonight, reminiscent of a summer night’s blissful breeze.
