Two of the German techno circuit’s brightest stars and an American veteran illuminate our Blitz- Ballroom with rolling grooves and spacious textures tonight.
Polygonia is already one of the brightest stars in Munich’s lively techno-microcosm, but it’s clear she’s destined for more. Besides being involved in a stunning array of live-collaborations with musicians as Moritz Stahl, Maria Burchard, Simon Popp (all among Munich’s most astonishing live- musicians!), running her own QEONE imprint, she’s reached a rare level of expertise and skill in marrying potent and rolling grooves with delicate and nuanced, hypnotizing and spacious soundscapes and a wide-ranging, arresting handling of dynamics and dramaturges. Simply stunning.
Already a lighthouse within the German scene and a unique take on expansive soundscapes, Len Faki has become one of Berlin most reliable, consistent and stunning techno-ambassadors. The charismatic Berghain resident juggles bulky beats with nonchalant ease and an acquired knowledge of how to fit each and every sound and rhythmic hit in the big puzzle of the night’s very own flow. His latest pair of EPs, called > Fusion <, showcase his brand of unmistakable style of Berlin-indebted, muscular dub-techno with his characteristically and irresistible, subtly-swung off-beat, open high hats and a few more exciting experiments in the realm of (progressive) house, breaks & IDM. More than 20 years into the game, Levent Faki shows no sign of slowing down.
We’re sure most of you will know about DJ Stingray 313. If not, you’re about to make a breathtaking discovery! A veteran from electronic music’s and Detroit’s early days, DJ Stingray 313 has been adding vital contributions to Techno’s and Electro’s legacy from the day he started, with projects as Urban Tribe. DJ Stingray stitches highly inventive beats at breakneck-speed and with razor-sharp precision (he’d make a fantastic surgeon, too) into thrilling experiences that challenge himself just as well as the crowd. Fasten your seatbelts, you’re in for a ride on one of the electronic dance music’s most thrilling rollercoasters.
