Marie Montexier’s and Nur Jaber’s profiles are on a consistent rise and we’re thrilled to watch our two regular guests next steps and each appearance at Blitz – we share a special bond with both artists and are delighted to have both perform next to each other tonight. Both are committed advocates for their hometown scenes and have been actively investing in building their respective communities: Nur Jaber helped open up Beirut’s first techno club, Gate 9, whereas Marie Montexier has been creating new spaces for FLINTA* artists with her party series Précey in Cologne and her label Paryìa is set to open up new unorthodox creative spaces. Both of them play thrilling techno with nods to the 90s and psychedelic textures: Nur Jaber with a dark and sweeping edge and Marie with dashes of refreshingly dry executed breakbeats.
Breakbeats in all sorts and forms are also the Zenker Brothers forte, who’ve created an international dance music institution with their label Ilian Tape, right in our hometown Munich.
Benjamin Damage has been collecting high-profile affiliations with releases on Modeselektor’s 50Weapons imprint, as well as releases on R&S Records, Feel my Bicep and many more. With the infectious yet heady, bulky and angular, analogue grooves it’s not hard to hear why and his live sets bring out the very best of his musical approach!

We’ve got more hands on personalities on our PLUS floor. Cooper Saver enriched the behemoth Los Angeles scene with a charmingly and laid-back take on Disco & House with his Far Away (warehouse) parties – now he’s retreated to the mountains of British Colombia in Canada to focus on the production of his debut LP. A strong contrast to the busy, Californian metropolitan lifestyle and we’re eager to hear how this change will benefit his music! Another nonchalant personality is our resident 600-Cell. A significant player of Munich’s vital Radio 80000 community that’s central in fostering new talent, he’s an acquired DJ too with a fine handling of old-school House, Disco & Techno as well as agogic and dynamic side of music. Come and get some grooves tonight!
