Munich’s CoreChaos collective will host three live concerts at Blitz this autumn and challenge your perception of what can happen at an electronic dance music club, with an inclusive pay what you can & want ticket price and a unique selection of spirited underground music ranging from Screamo, EBM, Mathcore and Rap.

They start their stint at Blitz with a release show of the Munich based Post-Hardcore, Indie & Emo band: Oakhands.

The infamous and self-proclaimed Sturm & Drang band are back to celebrate their new five song EP > A CIRCLE WITH MANY CENTERS < with another one of their storming and emotional live-shows that have made them one of Emo-Europe’s best kept secrets.

They’ve invited the like-minded and hotly tipped Munich Techno-Punk quartet Frauenstrasse and Cologne’s finest current post-hardcore proponents’ anorak. – the band they played their first out-of-home shows with.  Adding final touches to the program are DJ sets from Oakhands’ collective members Giovanni Raabe & Philipp Breese, spinning tender and balmy IDM & lofi-bedroom pop sounds.

Always good for surprises (remember Oakhands’ previous performances alongside Breakbeat veterans Asian Dub Foundation and spoken word & free jazz icons Moor Mother & Irreversible Entanglements!), Oakhands’ DIY-Screamo schooled approach happens to be an unexpected well fit for Blitz’s club design, as their focus on floorshows & dance floors simply match. Blitz and especially the underground Screamo-scene share a love for non-hierarchical, stage-defying room designs, and Thursday the 9th will prove the potential of the unlikely collaboration.

 

A Note on ticket price from CoreChaos, the promoters:

“Ticket price will be flexible at the box office on a pay-what-you-can basis.
Either 0 Euro OR 8 Euro OR 16 Euro

Why? We want everyone to have access to our concerts. Those who currently can’t afford concerts don’t have to pay anything. But without the solidary financial help and support of those who can afford art, culture & concerts, an event is not possible even with cultural funding. Whatever you can pay – make an informed decision. If you don’t have any money to spare, rest assured, we gladly do this for you.”

Mit einem Trio an Shows  die von Screamo, EBM und Rapcore reichen, re-interpretiert das CoreChaos Kollektiv die Möglichkeiten des Blitz-Dancefloors.

Der erste CoreChaos Abend im Blitz steht im Zeichen der Münchner Post-Hardcore, Indie & (Scr)E(a)mo Band Oakhands. Die selbsternannte > Sturm und Drang < Band feiert den Release ihrer neuen EP > A CIRCLE WITH MANY CENTERS < mit einer ihrer berühmt-berüchtigten, stürmischen und emotionalen Live-Shows, die sie zu einem der Geheimtipps der europäischen Emo-Szene gemacht haben.

Eingeladen haben sie das infernale Münchner Techno-Punk-Quartett Frauenstrasse sowie die Kölner Post-Hardcore Institution anorak., mit denen sie ihre ersten Bühnenerfahrungen außerhalb der eigenen Stadtmauern machten. Abgerundet wird das Programm durch DJ-Sets der Oakhands-Kollektivmitglieder Giovanni Raabe und Philipp Breese, die mit zarten IDM- und Lofi-Bedroom-Pop Sounds die Sinne betören werden.

Frei nach dem Motto > Keine Bühnen, keine Hierarchien! < finden die für die Screamo-Szene so üblichen Floorshows ein unerwartetes Zuhause auf dem Dancefloor des Blitz Clubs, der fernab hierarchischer Bühnendesigns Live-Events auf Augenhöhe fördert. Neben Konzerten mit Bands wie den Breakbeat Veteranen Asian Dub Foundation und der Spoken-Word/Freejazz Ikone Moor Mother & Irreversible Entanglements sind Oakhands mit ihrer Release-Show im Blitz einmal mehr für eine Überraschung gut.

Der Ticketpreis wird an der Abendkasse auf Pay-What-You-Want-Basis variabel sein.

Warum?
Wir wollen, dass jede*r Zugang zum Konzert haben kann. Wer sich aktuell keine Konzerte leisten kann, muss auch nichts zahlen. Aber ohne die finanzielle Hilfe und Unterstützung derer, die sich Kunst, Kultur & Konzerte leisten können, ist eine Veranstaltung selbst mit Kulturförderung nicht zu ermöglichen.
Wer die Künstler*innen, Veranstalter*innen und das solidarische Konzept unterstützen will, kann sich ein Vorverkaufs-Ticket sichern und helfen, Planungssicherheit zu schaffen.
