For our Cruise in October, we’ve invited Swiss DJ & producer Deetron. While he is well rooted in early hip hop turntablism of the ’90s and awakened to Techno after witnessing Jeff Mills, he’ll slip into his Soulmate alias to demonstrate his characteristic tribal swing. Reaffirming concrete grooves are our residents Muallem and Victor. Dark Machine Funk is the name of Kerrie’s very own imprint and gives a hint of what to expect from her selections: hypnotic beats that balance immersion and rhythmic nuance with a dynamic sense of tempo, alongside flashes of UK broken beats. Amotik’s forte is restraint and tension and he makes great use of it in his perspicacious sets.

The Freeride Millenium imprint from Jorkes and Paris Böhm hoists its sails on our PLUS floor tonight, charting the course for a House extravaganza. Born from the creative, musical and romantic synergy of its two founders, the label spans parties, radio shows, and sounds from House to Italo Disco to EBM with a decidedly queer focus, therefore a fitting match for Cruise, with which the founders are well familiar. Alongside Lydia Eisenblätter, local B 4ME, and Freeride Millenium’s Tizian, the cast provides the ingredients for a great night.
