Club culture and queer communities belong together – inseparable. It was born from queer communities of colour.
In a time where the galloping growth of club culture and electronic dance music threatens to forget its roots, we believe every discerning club, event, festival, and participant in the scene needs to stay aware of these essential historical connections. It goes without saying: Blitz Club is a space for all forms of queerness and non-binary identities – not just on Christopher Street Day, which commemorates the Stonewall Riots of 1969 in New York.
Our XXX-TRA Large Cruise Edition for Pride 2025 is a celebration of the dazzling, diverse LGBTQI+ community – its vibrant personalities and its ongoing fight for freedom and recognition. That fight feels more urgent than ever, with reactionary laws being passed and violent incidents happening from Bautzen to Britain, Bulgaria to Georgia, Ghana and beyond, all threatening basic human rights. When the answer, really, couldn’t be simpler: love is love. Be who you are.
We celebrate with a full-on 24-hour party marathon, kicking off on our BLITZ, PLUS and Pop-Up Pop floors at night and continuing at the beloved Open AIr Posthof from midday on Sunday, weather permitting. As always, we’ve invited in-demand DJs from around the globe, queer scene trailblazers, close friends, residents with special back-to-back sets and a stunning live sets – all guaranteed to keep you on your feet for hours and hours and hours.
This party won’t change the world. But it might give you a breather. A spark of inspiration, to keep up the work and fight.
So: Queers and allies, unite – and dance from night to day and back again.
