Danny Daze is putting Miami back on the map. He plays angular & jagging electro sounds of the genre’s rather experimental spectrum with hints of IDM & Techno and a preference for the power of the raw & authentic, as unpolished as it may be. It’s a tough feat holding such decidedly energetic, freewheeling sounds together. But it’s the technical masterclass and dexterity of Danny Daze that allow him to channel the skittish, high-voltage energy of his daring track selection into well-rounded out and smooth, yet demanding mixes.
Tonight, we finally get to dance to D. Tiffany’s euphoric and vibrantly coloured sets of trance tinged house & techno! She had to cancel her last appearance at the start of June on short notice, but now we’re even more eager to groove along to her driving sets, that retain a pleasantly laid-back atmosphere even at rapid tempos.
We’re also happy to have one of Eastern Europe’s rising techno stars from Tbilisi as our guest at Blitz tonight too. SALOME stands out with a fiery and fast-paced fusion of 90s rave inspired techno, trance & electro, close to the borders of breaktechno. She goes for dark & distorted vibes but skips the claustrophobic gloom. Instead, she focusses on the fun aspect of the warehouse party vibes and doesn’t shy away from holding down big melodies & infectious vocal hooks, while keeping things rough & gritty.

Danny Daze ist auf und daran, Miami wieder zu einem Hotspot für elektronische Musik zu machen. Er spielt zackige und kühne Electro-Sounds der experimentelleren Sorte mit Einflüssen von IDM & Techno und einer Vorliebe für Rohes und Authentisches, egal wie kantig es sein mag. Beim Mixen macht er sich mit solch risikoreichen Tracks freilich nicht einfach. Aber es ist die technische Finesse und das Geschick von Danny Daze, das es ihm ermöglicht, seine abenteuerliche, spannungsgeladene Trackauswahl in fein ausgearbeitete und ausgewogene, gleichwohl herausfordernde Mixes zu kanalisieren.
Heute Abend können wir dann auch endlich zu einem der euphorischen und farbenfrohen Sets von D. Tiffanys aus House und Techno mit Trance-Einschlag tanzen! Ihren letzten Auftritt Anfang Juni musste sie kurzfristig absagen, aber jetzt freuen wir uns umso mehr auf eins ihrer treibenden Sets, die auch bei schnellem Tempo angenehm laid-back bleiben.
Mit SALOME haben wir uns eine der aufstrebenden Talente Osteuropas, genauer gesagt aus Tiflis, ins Blitz geholt. Sie besticht durch eine feurige und rasante Mischung aus 90ies Rave inspiriertem Techno, Trance & Electro und bewegt sich gerne an der Grenze zum Breaktechno. Sie hält es in ihren Sets gerne dunkel und verzerrt, verzichtet dabei aber auf klaustrophobische Dramatik. Stattdessen setzt sie voll auf den euphorisch-abenteuerlichen Vibe (illegaler) Warehouse-Partys und scheut sich nicht davor, mit großen Melodien und Vocal-Hooks zu spielen, während sie ihre Sets im Großen und Ganzen rough und rotzig und in bester Façon frech bleiben.
