>Kick Drum. Bass Line. Hi-Hat.< is the headline to a short biography of Ryan Elliot, and sometimes, that’s all that’s really needed for good dance music anyway. The American musician is a purist out of conviction, not out of necessity, and pushes the minimalist formula to the max. with tremendous results. Whether one labels the outcome as house or techno is not really of interest to Ryan Elliot: his approach isn’t based around the clear separation of genres, but on the emphasis on commonalities. He combines the best of different worlds: Whether it’s house or techno, Berlin or Detroit, being a Panorama Bar or Berghain resident, and so on. This attitude gives him and his sets great stylistic and dynamic scope to create memorable evenings and even better mixes.
The fact that Paula Tape started out as a drummer in indie and metal bands in Santiago de Chile comes as no surprise, as the rhythmic and percussive diversity in her productions and mixes can be quickly and clearly heard and felt! She stands for a particularly playful and lively interpretation of Balearic house that is perfectly suited for warm summer nights, whether the party is indoors or outdoors. Sam Goku belongs to the ranks of promising young Munich DJ talents. He just played his debut at Blitz at the beginning of June and really struck a nerve with us. We’re happy that he will set the right vibes on Friday evening with a classy mix of house, nu-disco and broken beats.

>Kick Drum. Bass Line.
