There are few parties that have shaped the colourful and diverse perception of Berlin as an international dance music capital the way Herrensauna has in recent years. Dark and with a unique sense of gritty glam fuelled by martial imagery. Hard, relentless and sexy. That’s Herrensauna. Originally started as a queer, private party taking the idea of parties back to basics, boiling it down to good music & friends and a free space to be queer, Herrensauna’s frenetic events soon became the talk of the town but retained their charming oddball attitude, no matter how big they got.
Now they promote parties all over Europe – we’re happy to host a grand edition of Herrensauna at Blitz in September.

The two founding members CEM & MCMXLLLV will present their singular and symbiotic vision of Herrensauna in their closing back to back. Swedish-born but Berlin based SPFDJ has become a frequent and popular alumni of Herrensauna with her balls to the wall attitude and brash, yet smart and sexy sound that covers Techno, EBM & Industrial. Always on the lookout for the most exciting new outré’s in style and sound, Herrensauna is about exciting new talents, too, and have invited DJ Saliva too! Blitz-guests will already know Mauro Venturas exciting sets that brim with engaging, gloomy, peculiar Techno.
No XXL party without our PLUS floor, with interesting perspectives on the Herrensauna sound from Stenny, Jasss and Slim Soledad. Our Italian resident Stenny and good friend JASSS both spin exhilarating selections from the brinks of Bass, Breaks & IDM with a futuristic touch.
Slim Soledad’s ferocious, wildstyle mixes stem from a multiple interests and occupations. Be it as part of the Chernobyl-crew from Sao Paolo providing essential spaces for queer and trans BiPOC-communites or her work as a multidisciplinary artist: Slim Soledad’s incendiary blend of Hardcore Baile-Funk styles, brute Techno as well as contemporary and experimental club sounds is like nothing you’ve experienced before.

Es gibt nur wenige Partys, welche die vielfältige Wahrnehmung Berlins als internationale Clubmetropole in den letzten Jahren so geprägt haben wie Herrensauna. Rabenschwarz und mit einem einzigartigen Sinn für düsteren Glam und martialischer Bildsprache. Hart, unerbittlich und sexy: das ist Herrensauna.
Ursprünglich war das Format als queere, private Feier gedacht, um Partys auf das Wesentliche zu reduzieren: nämlich gute Musik und enge Freund*innen, aber auch um queere Freiräume zu schaffen, wurden die frenetischen Events von Herrensauna bald zum Szenegespräch, behielten dabei aber ihre charmante Attitüde, ganz egal wie groß sie wurden.
Heute veranstalten sie Partys in ganz Europa – wir freuen uns, im September unsere beiden Dancefloors im September zu Herrensauna umzufunktionieren.

Die beiden Gründungsmitglieder CEM & MCMXLLLV werden ihre einzigartige und symbiotische Vision von Herrensauna in einem Back-to-Back-Set präsentieren. Die in Schweden geborene, aber in Berlin lebende SPFDJ ist mit ihrer > balls to the wall <-Attitüde und ihrem schnoddrigen, aber dennoch smarten und sexy Sound, der Techno, EBM und Industrial vereint, zu einer beliebten Herrensauna-Alumni geworden. Immer auf der Suche nach den aufregendsten neuen Outré’s in Stil und Sound, geht es bei Herrensauna auch um aufregende neue Talente, und so ist auch DJ Saliva eingeladen! Blitz-Gäste kennen bereits Mauro Venturas Sets, die vor vereinnahmenden, pechschwarzen Techno der eigenwilligen Sorte strotzen.

Unser italienischer Resident Stenny und unsere gute Freundin JASSS legen beide packende Grooves aus dem Grenzbereich von Bass, Breaks und IDM mit einem dezent futuristischen Touch auf.
Slim Soledads wilden Performances sind das Ergebnis einer Vielzahl von Interessen und Beschäftigungen. Sei es als Teil der Chernobyl-Crew aus Sao Paolo, die lebenswichtige Räume für queere und trans BiPOC-Communites in der Stadt schafft, oder mit ihrer Arbeit als multidisziplinärer Künstlerin: Slim Soledads infernale Mischung aus Hardcore-Baile-Funk-Stilen, brachialem Techno sowie zeitgenössischen und experimentellen Club-Sounds entzieht sich der Vorstellungskraft.
