The last episode of Intimacy Quarterly, Munich’s discerning concert series for experimental pop music, is dedicated exclusively to the Munich scene. The duo Popp & Polygonia – drummer Simon Popp and producer Polygonia released an LP via Squama in November 2023 and play one of their rare concerts. Producer, singer and organiser Cornelia Pazmandi aka Tiger Tiger plays a solo set for the first time. Important driving force of the local scenes Mindsight accompanies the evening with DJ sets before, after and between the concerts and host Mira Mann opens the evening with an intro.

Popp & Polygonia
> Candid< is the name of the first LP by Munich producer Polygonia and drummer Simon Popp. It has deep roots, is a mixture of Popp‘s drumset and his characteristic percussion sounds, around which Polygonia‘s bold and full productions buzz. The album consists of live material recorded at ZIRKA in Munich at the end of 2022 and several studio sessions between the two artists’ tours. > Candid < is multi-layered electronics, mystical and cheerful.

Tiger Tiger
makes abstract art pop, somewhat off the beaten track, sometimes hypnotising and reserved, sometimes powerful and longing. The artist behind the project, Cornelia Pazmandi, regularly collaborates with various musicians, most recently releasing a single with the artist Magic Island and the producer Walter p99 arkestra. Detailed, atmospheric and a little out of time, musical signposts such as Kate Bush, Portishead, Soap & Skin and Laurie Anderson shimmer through. Between synthesiser and deep bass, Tiger Tiger maintains a balance between emotional depth and avant-garde experimentation.

Mindsight
is an experimental electronic music project by Josh Neumann from Munich. Josh’s music moves from atmospheric textures and joyful soundscapes to energetic deconstructed beats – effortlessly combining different inspirations that are not bound to any genre. Beyond music, Josh is active in various collectives and alliances such as Freiräumen or Common Ground.

Mira Mann
has been organising Intimacy Quarterly together with Daniela Schroll since 2022. She is an author and musician, in 2023 she released the longplayer > weich <, as well as her third poetry collection > Kontrolle <. She is interested in the performative possibilities of spoken word, in the border area of text, body and music. In 2024 she lives and works in Vienna.

Die letzte Episode der Intimacy Quarterly Konzertreihe für experimentelle Popmusik widmet sich ausschließlich der Münchner Szene. Das Duo Popp & Polygonia – Schlagzeuger Simon Popp und Produzentin Polygonia haben im November 2023 eine LP via Squama veröffentlicht und spielen eines ihrer seltenen Konzerte. Produzentin, Sängerin und Veranstalterin Cornelia Pazmandi aka Tiger Tiger spielt zum ersten Mal ein Solo Set. Wichtige Triebfeder der hiesigen Szenen Mindsight begleitet den Abend mit DJ-Sets vor, nach und zwischen den Konzerten und Gastgeberin Mira Mann eröffnet den Abend mit einem Intro.

Popp & Polygonia
> Candid < heißt die erste LP der Münchner Produzentin Polygonia und des Schlagzeugers Simon Popp. Sie hat tiefe Wurzeln, ist eine Mischung aus Popps Drumset und seinen charakteristischen Percussion-Sounds, um die Polygonias kühne und volle Produktionen schwirren. Das Album besteht aus Live-Material, das Ende 2022 im Münchner ZIRKA aufgenommen wurde und mehreren Studio-Sessions zwischen den Tourneen der beiden Künstlerinnen. > Candid < ist vielschichtige Elektronik, mystisch und fröhlich.

Tiger Tiger
macht abstrakten Art Pop, etwas abseitig, mal hypnotisierend und zurückhaltend, mal kraftvoll und sehnsüchtig. Die Künstlerin hinter dem Projekt, Cornelia Pazmandi arbeitet regelmäßig mit unterschiedlichen Musiker:innen zusammen, zuletzt erschien eine Single mit der Künstlerin Magic Island und dem Produzenten Walter p99 arkestra. Detailverliebt, atmosphärisch und so bisschen aus der Zeit gefallen schimmern musikalische Wegweiserinnen wie Kate Bush, Portishead, Soap & Skin oder Laurie Anderson durch. Zwischen Synthesizer und tiefen Bässen hält Tiger Tiger ein Gleichgewicht aus emotionaler Tiefe und avantgardistischer Experimentierfreude.

Mindsight
ist ein experimentelles elektronisches Musikprojekt von Josh Neumann aus München. Joshs Musik bewegt sich von atmosphärischen Texturen und fröhlichen Klanglandschaften bis hin zu energetischen dekonstruierten Beats – und kombiniert mühelos verschiedene Inspirationen, die an kein Genre gebunden sind. Über die Musik hinaus ist Josh aktiv in diversen Kollektiven und Bündnissen wie Freiräumen oder Common Ground.

Mira Mann
veranstaltet gemeinsam mit Daniela Schroll seit 2022 Intimacy Quarterly. Sie ist Autorin und Musikerin, 2023 hat sie den Longplayer > weich < veröffentlicht, wie auch ihren dritten Gedichtband > Kontrolle <. Sie interessiert sich für die performativen Möglichkeiten von spoken word, im Grenzbereich von Text, Körper und Musik. 2024 lebt und arbeitet sie in Wien.
