The name of the label Mama Told Ya already provides a first taste of the youthful essence and mindset of the imprint of French DJ and producer Anetha, that puts the (parental) ideas of an older techno generation to the test. 
Mama Told Ya is about playfully questioning the boundaries of dancefloor-oriented techno and its receptions. It is a space for experimentation within the functional, full of refreshing and enthusiastic Sturm & Drang attitude, a space where young artists challenge and push each other to new limits. Split-EPs, on which the artists collaborate with Anetha are at the center of the label’s philosophy: cooperation is the core of all undertakings! The thrilling result, or rather the different results, can be heard formidably on the large compilation > Contre tout, toutes et tous, la terre demeure <, which was just released in mid-summer. In addition to label boss Anetha, shooting stars Mac Declos, UFO95 & Vel will make us sweat and present their idea of the tomorrow’s techno at the Blitz. That means: passionate and powerful techno fueled by an unrivaled adolescent drive with plenty of influences from the 90s, rave & trance, but also a sophisticated sense for meditative and melodic overtones. DE Der Name des Labels Mama Told Ya liefert bereits einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf die jugendliche Essenz und Haltung des Imprints der französischen DJ und Produzentin Anetha, das sich auch an den (elterlichen) Vorstellungen einer älteren Technogeneration abarbeitet. Mama Told Ya steht für ein spielerisches Austesten der Grenzen von Dancefloor-orientierten Techno und dessen Vorstellungen. Es ist ein Raum zum Experimentieren inmitten einer Blase funktionaler Tanzmusik, voller erfrischend-berauschender Sturm & Drang-Attitüde, ein Raum in dem sich junge Künstler*innen messen, herausfordern, zu neuen Leistungen antreiben. Denn im Zentrum der Labelphilosophie steht das Konzept von Split-EPs, auf denen die Künstler*innen mit Anetha kollaborieren. Das Ergebnis oder besser, die unterschiedlichen Ergebnisse, lassen sich insbesondere formidabel auf der erst im Hochsommer erschienenen, großen Compilation > Contre tout, toutes et tous, la terre demeure” < nachhören. Am kommenden Abend werden uns neben Labelchefin Anetha auch die Shootingstars Mac Declos, UFO95 & Vel ins Schwitzen bringen und ihre Vorstellung des Techno von Morgen im Blitz näherbringen. Das hießt: impulsiver und kräftiger Techno voller adoleszentem Tatendrang, mit reichlich Einflüssen aus den 90ern, Rave & Trance, aber auch einem stilsicheren Gespür für meditative und melodische Zwischentöne.
