We’re happy to host the aftershow party for the esteemed Schall im Schilf festival from our good friends from Kellerkind, that features well curated line-ups ranging from revered international DJs to promising local talents.
Make sure to get some sun and grooves during the daytime before we let it rip with Scottish veterans Slam, the incendiary SPFDJ and our residents the Zenker Brothers on the BLITZ floor. BADSISTA, evol peeD and ISAbella keep it funky and sexy on the PLUS floor. You’d better dress to sweat!
Acclaimed Scottish duo Slam and Berlin based, but Swedish SPFDJ, represent two generations and approaches of back to basics, elemental techno. Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle have been shaping Techno in Scotland since the early 90ies, the riotous Glasgow scene and the early careers of artists such as Daft Punk and Surgeon with their prestigious Soma Recordings imprint and as curators of the renowned Riverside Festival. They’re skilled and experienced DJs and producers too and reliably deliver rousing sets, schooled by an old-school approach of effective minimalism and eager ears for today’s bangers, evolving into stripped down, grooving Techno with hints of House. Here we, here we, here we fucking go, aye?
SPFDJ, closely affiliated with the infamous Herrensauna collective and her label Intrepid Skin capture the state and sound of contemporary techno: heavily distorted and aggressive, melodic yet oppressive, with a zero fucks given attitude that’s utterly storming and engrossing. Her brash mixture draws on Acid, EBM, Industrial and Trance is confronting and provocative but never bland. Our residents, the Zenker Brothers bang and slam too, but first and foremost: groove.
ISAbella and BADSISTA keep it unapologetically sexy on the PLUS floor. They infuse a decidedly femine funk and energy into contemporary club sounds: with ISAbella hailing from Colombia (but now based in Barcelona) and BADSISTA from Brazil, their approach draws on a South-American socialized, rhythmic eclecticism that defies (not rejects!) the rigid, monotonous use of the straightforward four-to-the-floor scheme but utilizes it to great effect whenever it fits.

Mit Freude richten wir auch 2023 wieder die Aftershowparty des Schall Im Schilf Festivals der von uns geschätzten Kellerkind Crew aus, die mit einem gelungenen Lineup aus dem besten der hiesigen Szene und internationalen Artists erneut Stilsicherheit bewiesen hat.
Tankt tagsüber ordentlich Vitamin D, bevor wir es dann nachts im Blitz Floor krachen lassen und es funky und sexy auf dem PLUS Floor halten.
Die schottischen Urgesteine von Slam und die heute in Berlin ansässige SPFDJ repräsentieren zwei unterschiedliche Gangarten des straighten Techno. Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle aus Glasgow prägen die Szene der Highland Nation bereits seit den 90ern. Auf ihrem Label Soma Recordings haben Künstler*innen wie Daft Punk und Surgeon ihre ersten Schritte gemacht und heute kuratieren sie das heiß-gehandelte Riverside Festival an der Clyde. Darüber hinaus sind sie vor allem beeindruckende DJs, die furiose Sets spielen, mit einem Old-School orientierten Ansatz, der effektiven Minimalismus und groovenden Techno mit leichten Spuren von House paart. > Here We, Here We, Here We Fucking Go < wie man auf dem Nordteil der britischen Insel gerne sagt.
SPFDJ, eng verbandelt mit der Berliner Herrensauna, bringt mit ihrem Style den zeitgenössischen Techno auf einen Nenner. Ordentlich verzerrt und kraftvoll, melodisch und doch klaustrophobisch und serviert mit einer beeindruckenden Attitüde, die man in Bayern mit dem Sprichwort > Scheiss da nix, dann feid da nix < ehrt. Ihr schnoddriger und knallharter Ansatz vereint Acid, EBM, Industrial und Trance mit Stil & Verstand. Unsere Residents, die beiden Zenker Brothers, lassen es auch ordentlich knallen, aber lassen dabei vor allem dem Groove freien Lauf.
Badsista, evol Peed und ISAbella sorgen dafür, dass es auf dem PLUS Floor geschmeidig bleibt. BADSISTA und ISAbella unterziehen zeitgenössischen Clubsounds ein dezidiert feminines Update. Die beiden DJs sind in Südamerika groß geworden und das prägt auch ihr vielfältiges Verständnis von Rhythmus, das sich vorwiegend abseits der kerzengeraden Four To The Floor Kickdrums bewegt, aber dabei genau weiß, wann man es zwischen all dem Funk auch mal mit wuchtigen Bassdrums krachen lässt.
