Our good friends from World League are taking over the helm of our spaceship today and once again stay true to their motto “Masterclass DJs from all over the planet”. With Chris Liebling, they are bringing one of the most popular personalities of the German techno scene to Munich, straight into our Blitz-booth. He helped shaped the music of the Main-river metropolis Frankfurt in the 90s with residencies at famed clubs like Omen and labels such as the formerly self-titled CLR imprint. His last LP on the renowned label MUTE showed Chris’ from a rather introspective and moodier side, but when it gets to the dancefloor, he still plays as uncompromising as he started out in the 90s with big, powerful and thunderous sounds that take no prisoners. There are no signs of ageing in Chris Liebing for sure.
Joining the party is DEAS, who just in July impressed with an EP full of reliably driving, dystopian techno tools on Liebing’s CLR imprint. You’ll hear considerably more melodic and softer tones over on the PLUS floor: René Vaitl, World League resident and a central figure of the Munich club scene ever since will seduce you with floating tech-house numbers, whereas Imperiux shines with his profound knowledge of deep house grooves.

Unsere guten Freund*innen von World League übernehmen heute das Ruder unseres Raumschiffs und bleiben ihrem Motto „Masterclass DJs from all over the planet“ dabei selbstverständlich treu. Denn mit Chris Liebling holen sie eine beliebtesten Persönlichkeiten der deutschen Techno-Szene direkt zu uns in Blitz. In den 90er Jahren prägte er den Sound der Mainmetropole Frankfurt mit Residencies im Omen und Labels wie dem vormals selbst betitelten CLR Imprint. Sein letzter Longplayer auf dem geschichtsträchtigen Label MUTE zeigte Chris’ von einer vergleichsweise introspektiven und melancholischen Seite, auf dem Dancefloor brettert Chris Liebing aber auch heute noch so kompromisslos wie in den 90ern, mit großem, kräftigen und drückenden Sound. Von Altersmilde ist hier nichts zu spüren!
Mit von der Partie ist DEAS, welcher erst im Juli mit einer EP voller zuverlässig treibender, dystopischer Techno-Tools auf Chris’ CLR Imprint überzeugte.
Auf dem Plus Floor dagegen werden deutlich melodischere und sanftere Töne angeschlagen: René Vaitl, World League Resident und seit jeher eine zentrale Figur der Münchner Clubszene mit tragenden Tech-House Nummern, Imperiux bewegt sich dagegen näher am Deep House.
