Held together by back-to-the-future-crafted styles, this recording showcases flashy-pulsating units, crunchy-tropical rhythms, gurkly synth-hybrids and Acid-tuned sequences. Weiter geht es bei Blitz LIVE mit einer vielversprechenden Szene-Botschafterin aus São Paulo, Cashu, die ihr feines Händchen für Warehouse-ambitionierten Techno unter Beweis stellt. Zusammengehalten von Back-to-the-future-geformten Stilmitteln, lässt das Mamba-Negra-Member in ihrem Recording großspurig pulsierende Einheiten, mit knarzend-tropischen Rhythmen, gurgelnden Synth-Hybriden und Acid-versehenen Sequenzen verschmelzen. Lucky number eight of our Blitz LIVE instalment features Sardinia-via-Berlin artist Claudio PRC, who lays down a spacious floating and organically energizing mix. Within his 2-hours-recording, the 012 chief zooms in his clear-cut articulations of Techno: rhythm driven, smoothly moving but sharp shooting and generating psychedelic depths. Die achte Runde von Blitz LIVE fährt mit dem Sardinien-via-Berlin Protagonisten Claudio PRC an die Startlinie, der einen weitläufig fließenden und durchweg organischen Mix zum Besten gibt. Seien es warme Dub-Patterns, Rhythmus und Melodik inspirierter House oder tooliger Techno, der in Paris verortete Künstler spricht an den Decks seine ganz eigene Sprache: Spannung aufbauend und authentisch. We dearly hope that everyone out there is healthy and safe. 

These are strange times, as the world has to face the challenge of drastic change. We strongly believe, that change always incorporates new perspectives and possibilities. Whatever the future may be, we should think wisely about the things we can influence in order to take the chance of twisting things into the better. 

When we try taking a closer look into all the perspectives, visions and ideas that are currently coming up day by day, hour by hour and minute by minute, starting with the microcosm that dance music is in and working up to an essentially social and global scale, be they pessimistic or optimistic, we realize more and more how powerful all of us are, when trying to collectively initiate positive change. 

We conceive a club’s essence in people coming together, sharing their love for each other, for life and music. Dancing together was taken from us. Being limited to your closest as well as virtual connectivity, makes us even more realize how much we value the presence of people. Nonetheless, we also do conceive the purpose of a club as so much more.

As much as this crisis makes coming together impossible, we still do passionately take critical views, don’t hesitate to take position and engage with the culture we love. Sharing all the things that move us, is a distinct element of our passion.

The first reaction after the club had to shut down was being paralyzed, not being able to realize that the club won’t open on Friday, March 13^th. Speakers off, empty room, no sweating bodies, no loud music. After streaming mainly club sets on that given Friday, we took a break and focused on coming up with a fresh program, as we are used to coming up with one every day of our lives. The context has changed, however our love can’t be taken.

Today we’ll continue with our streams, we are still in the process of adapting, however our program will reflect things we’d love to dive into ourselves. Apart from theme driven musical journeys, we’ll start readings, playlists and will also introduce a new dialogue based video format, in order to trigger the exchange of ideas and to explore a diversity of perspectives on various things. We’ll do our best to come up with new updates and to constantly improve and thereby hope, to jointly develop new approaches. 

We’ll take care of all necessary medical measures during the streams and will also offer optional tickets -all content is free- for our monthly virtual program. The amount generated from these, will be forwarded at a 100% to the contributors and split evenly among them.  

As dark as these times may be, light will be back. Let’s make the best out of it. Now is the time to be creative, to honestly address the things that need to be addressed, to be on point, to be focused, to think differently and to critically question.

Please do stay healthy and safe. Let’s hope this is all over soon and that we’ll be able to dance and enjoy life together. We do hope that the current way of exchanging passion, knowledge and ideas will endure for the world to come.

Candy Pollard’s debut for our Blitzcast series covers a dazzling extraction of his fine sense for music. Our friend from Heilbronn’s strength is to create storylines in between: subtile, uplifting, soulful and always keeping an elegant sustainability in mind. This mix explores reduced and dreamy soundscapes, incorporating bleeping Electro-accents and Techno take-overs. Within this framework he showcases silky punchlines and candy-bright synths while also giving the listener the chance to take a breath. Well, this guy knows how to handle his wax. Die Stärke unseres stilsicheren Freundes aus Heilbronn liegt im Schaffen von Schnittpunkten und im Kreieren von neuen Pfaden: subtil anregend und mit eleganter Nachhaltigkeit gesprenkelt. Dieser Mix stattet reduziertem und verträumten House mit Druckkraft, blickend-abstrakten Electro und seidig-knatterndem Techno ebenso einen Besuch ab wie sämtlichen Schaltarten dazwischen. Blitz LIVE series volume six features Roman Flügel in full effect. The two and a half hours by our never-not-fresh jack of all trades from Frankfurt is comprised by hi-definition four-on-the-floor tunes: drifty pounding, arp-animated, bass-riding and Trance-dipped. Call it House, Techno, Leftfield or just let the music shout it out loud. Thank you Roman, it was a pleasure again!

Our Blitzcast series continuous with Vincent Neumann, who shows up with a beautiful Ambient mix. The Leipzig based Distillery resident unveils two hours of intimate soundscapes, contemplative-uplifting vibrations, hazy drone-spheres, gentle rhythm accents and a consistently timeless mood. This smoothly mixed selection allows to take a deep breath, to drift away and to gain creativity. Thank you Vincent, this is essential!

Blitz LIVE continues with a gem straight from Serge’s treasure chest. He hit our decks last time at CRUISE. The Clone operator is a walking encyclopedia and a true crowd reader. Hey proves these wo crystal clear facts with every single record he spins. May it be recently published top-notch productions or classic tunes from back in the days, the Dutch music lover combines them into a tooly, highlighting, explosive and even more long-lasting whole. Thank you for this stellar dive into the depth of the dance floor, Serge!

Next up on the bill for our Blitz LIVE series is ADIEL, who makes big waves with her very own instinct for the dancefloor. The picks of the Italian selector are covered by three main stances: dynamic aesthetic, hypnotic tensioned tales and pure fire between the lines. Expect a huge load of deep bubbling bass lines, quirky weirdo-synths and tripping ambient-and-in-between highlights out of the Goa Club resident’s record bag, recorded live at Blitz on October 12th.
